Provided Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire Protection engineering services for 35,500 SF, three-story classroom/laboratory/office building; connected to Central Plant chilled water and hot water loop; project received the first LEED Gold Certification in the state of Alabama; when compared with other buildings on campus of similar square footage and occupancy patterns, this building consumed 40% less electricity, 48% less chilled water and 27% less domestic water; construction budget $6.2 million.
